Service Description
Jupiter 1 & 2 by HughesNet is offered in select regions.
The service uses the Ka band which is ideal for spot beam distribution. Each group of spot beam re-utilize frequencies from the previous group and is operated from dedicated HughesNet gateways, enabling the satellite to deliver considerably more bandwidth than a traditional satellite (up to 100x more!).
Coverage area
Jupiter 1 & 2 has over 200 spot beams that cover the United States, parts of Canada, Central America and the Caribbean.
